please remain standing while the Ganesha High School jrtc Color Guard presents the colors and the plane of our national anthem right sir what forward what audience you may be seated graduates you may be seated good evening and welcome to the commencement Ceremonies for the Ganesha High School class of 2025 I would first like to welcome Tony Unified School Board member this is Tamar Gonzalez assistant superintendent Mrs Sylvia Saint Martin PUSD board members cabinet members cluster 3 administrative faculty friends family guests and the graduating seniors of 2025 I would like to ask our graduates to look at your parents and family here today you know where they are and thank them we all need people around us to support us and to help us when we need it and an event such as this is not only a celebration of the achievement of the graduates but a celebration for all who helped them get there and secondly graduates look all over at your teachers counselors and support staff they also helped you get there in our important part of this event today what is not this part take what you want to celebrate celebration par Tove lo lo today marks a momentous occasion in your lives the completion of your high school Journey As We Gather to celebrate this achievement I'm reminded of the theme that guides our reflection today Construction just as a building Rises being by being your education has been constructed step by step for the past 4 years you have been Gathering materials strengthening foundations and working together to build something remarkable yourselves in these hallways use assemble the building blocks of knowledge some days were spent carefully laying the foundation algebra equations historical dates scientific principles other days were devoted to more intricate work crafting essays solving complex problems engaging in passion debates though at times of work seemed tedious each lesson was Another Brick in the Wall of your education but a structure is only as strong as its foundation the lessons you've learned here perseverance critical thinking collaboration these are reinforced concrete that will support whatever you choose to build next individually and together you have earned many scholarships and academic Awards you assume brightly in many academic athletic artistic service and cultural activities members of your classes have achieved Acceptance in the outstanding colleges universities career programs and several in your class have accepted at achieved acceptance into our Armed Forces the last piece of advice I have for you is about renovation life will require Renovations there will be times when you need to knock down walls that limit you reinforced beams that's support you and completely redesigned spaces that no longer serve you be flexible in your construction plans but uh unwavering in your commitment to building something meaningful When Storms Come and they will you'll discover ever whether your foundation holds and if it needs repair don't despair the strongest structures are often those that have weathered damaged and have been thoroughly restored for my final thoughts I'd like to share this the year began the class of 2025 you showed a spear you established the vibe your talent has shown your abilities are endless make the most of your opportunities to be tremendous your high school years are part of your story continued on the path be focused strive for Glory always remember to work hard and be well and Thrive you're an amazing class you seniors of 2025 give thanks and those who helped you along the way and always help those in need because you're a giant resilient indeed so goodbye for now for me it's been an honor to be with you and oh yeah when they ask you about your Gonzalez he was the cabinet member Miss Saint Martin principal Bia Johnny family friends and staff it is a pleasure to have you all here tonight as we and major milestone in our lives first and foremost I'm effing Perez the saludi tour for the class of 2020 2025 I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to the parents and Guardians who stood by us every step of the way your love patience and sacrifice didn't go unnoticed you've been the steady contributor behind our success and we thank you for everything to our teachers thank you thank you for not just teaching lessons but for making an impact you've challenged us encouraged us and when we needed it and you guided us when we needed it most teaching is no easy profession and it deserves so much recognition to my fellow graduates we did it after 4 long years of early mornings late nights setbacks rebounds and unexpected challenges here we are we made it to this moment and now the our Journeys were unique each 1 of us is here you might remember where it all started back in elementary school life was then full of wonder you were just kids curious about what came next then came Middle School Company by schedules a little more workload and learning how to balance a little more responsibility that's when we started to feel shift we began to see a glimpse of the road ahead and then came High School a place that tested us it brought challenges change new friendships growth and so on some days were amazing others not so much but even in the hardest moments we didn't quit through it all won't get this 1 thing kept us going ambition it's no surprise we're here today we've always had this fire inside us a drive to go further to push past limits as we step forward whether it's College a job the military that ambition stays with us this moment is just more fuel for our journey we've learned something powerful not just how to solve equations or write essays but how to keep showing up how to bounce back how to move forward when the road gets hard that's what makes us ready not Perfection persistence this chapter may be ending but it's far from over and if I know anything about the class A 2025 it's the best is still coming we are the future and we are what we desire this is not the end of our ambition keep becoming the best version of ourselves every single day thank you and congratulations to the class of 2025 I'd like to invite up co- validator for the class of 2025 Janelle Gonzalez good evening everyone my name is Janelle Gonzalez it is an honor to stand before you call as a CO valuator and for the class of 2025 I am incredibly lucky to share this title with someone who has been with me since my very first step sorry my my twin sister I had spent days wondering what I was going to say here and the truth is there's not enough words to convey this moment so first off I would like to congratulate every 1 of you for making it some of us have done something that our parents have never done before 4 walk across a graduation stage we are graduating as first generation students and going off into the next steps of our future this moment is not just for us this moment is for our parents our families the helpers get here without their support we can never have gone this far in our journey you've cheered us on through every Milestone comforted us through every setback and believed in us when we didn't quite believe in ourselves so our friends thank you we thank you for making the worst moments here bearable the times we had together will never be forgotten to our teachers thank you thank you for always guiding us and for teaching us valuable lessons we will never forget the moments we spend in your classrooms where fundamental to Our Success a special thank you to the teachers who made our last year here at extra memorable to the staff who supported our journey here thank you you helped keep this school running and in turn helped us get here to my classmates I would ask you all to join me in giving a round of applause and thanks to all the people who who were part of our journey here when we spoke about our future it seemed like a far distant land but yet here we are at this last moment we stand at a milestone 1 that marks the beginning and ending we've closed a chapter full of memories growth challenges and triumphs and now we turn to page to a new 1 Unwritten full of potential and waiting for us want to shape it so now the question is what do we do with this moment with this wide open Future we build we build lives of purposes we build communities of compassion we will create careers that create he'll teach Inspire and Lead we build a world that reflects the values we believe in whether that be equality Innovation sustainability or Justice it won't be easy the world is full of uncertainties but we are not powerless we are educated we are motivated and we are ready we may not know exactly what the future holds but we know this we will be the ones to shape it as we take this forward as we take this leap forward to our next Journey we can offer get the things we leave behind our friends memories and challenges each of these things shaped us into who we are today some of us will go on to the university the military or the work for for some of you are not quite sure yet and it's okay to be unsure just remember the worst thing you can do is do nothing you may not know what you are doing next but you know who you are your resilient Learners thinkers and doers and finally to the class of 2025 never forget the future is not something we enter it is something we create thank you I would like to invite up co-valedictorian and Associated student body president Janice Gonzalez good evening everyone my name is Janice Gonzalez it is an incredible honor to stand here today as the covalent of the class of 2025 not on just my own behalf but along someone I've shared every step of this journey with the co valid Taurean my sister together with you all we've re we have reached the Milestone that marks both an ending and a beginning as we sit here dressed in our caps and gowns it is tempting to look back on childhood memories on the struggles we've overcome and the friendships we have built tonight I want to talk about what comes next the future the future is not a far-off place we are heading to it is something we begin creating right now every decision we make every risk retake every act of kindness every boat idea that is the future unfolding some of us will pursue higher education others will enter the workforce or military and some may still be figuring things out and that's okay the path of head and I'll look the same for everyone but the beauty is it is ours to shape of course none of us got here alone before we step forward into what's next I want to take a moment to thank the people who made this moment possible to my family thank you for being my Foundation Your Love support and belief in me have been constant even when I doubted myself ever late night pep talk every patient word of advice those moments carried me here to the teachers and mentors who guided them thank you for truly believing us and giving us more than knowledge to my friends thank you for the laughter and the inside jokes I will cherish that forever the world we are stepping into is changing fast there will be challenges and moments of uncertainty but I believe in this class I believe we have the resilience the creativity on heart to make a real difference the future isn't waiting for us it's already calling us not only did I have the incredible honor of being the Cove violent Victorian but I have also has the owner of serving as your Associated student body president this year throughout my time in this role I've had the privilege of helping lead our school through some of the most memorable and meaningful moments of our high school experience from Spirited rallies to Unforgettable events our goal was always the same to bring people together to create Joy connection and a sense of belonging through it all I was able to witness the heart of the school its students you made every event come to life ASB was just was not just about events it was about the people it was about building something real with those who care just as deeply and I want to take a moment to speak directly to them my ASB team my buddies to the seniors I have had to privilege of working alongside you were the blueprint you led by example and to the underclassmen who bought who brought energy passion and fresh ideas into that ASB room every day you are the future and it's bright because of you even when things were tough I never stopped believing in the school because this place has always been more than just classrooms it's been a place where we discovered our voices where we found and gone back up and where we found each other as we stand here today at the thresh out of everything we have worked toward there is a strange way in knowing this chapter is over graduation is more than a ceremony it's a declaration that we're ready to step forward ready to embrace the unknown to make mistakes to grow and to find out who we are beyond the structure of school walls the future won't be easy but I believe we're prepared so that the class of 2025 as we walk off this field today let's do so not in fear of what's next but an inconfidence that's the future with open minds steady hearts and the same courage that God is here congratulations class of 2025 our next chapter begins now would like to invite up the class of 2025 senior class president Lesley Sora hello and good evening proud parents teachers staff and most importantly the graduating class of 2025 my name is Leslie saurya and have had the incredible honor of serving as her senior class president before I begin I want to give a big thank you to all my teachers staff classmates but most importantly my besties to my family whom without them I wouldn't be standing here today your love and patience and presence have carried me through more than you know it's surreal to be sunny here at the finish line of a journey that fell both impossibly long and heartbreakingly fast do you remember who you were the first step when you first stepped onto this campus I do we're just a little Freshies barely out of Middle School nervous curious and trying to act like we had it all figured out but really we're just kids standing at the edge of something unknown we are trying to discover who we were and maybe even more importantly who we were going to become we didn't know yet that these hallways were witness our tears our laughter our growth and some of the most defining moments of Our Lives when we first walked through the high school we were filled with a mixture of excitement nervousness to finally be coming to school in person after 2 years being stuck at home we wandered those hallways with schedules in our Trembling Hands afraid of being late lost or called out in class we were over bone by the noise the people the pace and yet slowly beautifully we began to settle in we discovered passions we didn't know we had some of us picked up instruments others joined teams clubs or found our boys in classrooms that challenged us some of us were still figuring out out up until this very moment and that's okay too but what matters is we made it we've come a long way since those uncertain first steps through heartbreak loss late night study sessions and Unforgettable memories we've become seniors and not just any seniors very strong resilient compassionate and courageous we are ready there are moments when we doubted ourselves when we thought we couldn't push through but together we proved time and time again that we were capable of more than we ever imagined however the true beauty of this journey like it's not in the textbooks we read or the grades we earned the beauty is in the friendships we gain and the growth that took place inside and outside the classroom it was in the way we showed up for 1 another and the group chats the pep rallies inside jokes the walks of class it's in please are supported 1 another through the ups and downs the times we lifted each other up when we felt like giving up and the way we cheered each other on either for our fellow athletes or simply when we needed it to those moments the quiet unseen ones that we will all carry forever after these 4 years I want you all to realize in every take your time here for granted as we celebrate this momentous occasion there is 1 individual who we must remember Kenneth Watson a beloved member of the class of 2025 he may not be here with those physically today but his Spirit his laughter and his kindness remains in our hearts Kenneth may not have walked across the sea today but his spirit will forever be a part of the class of 2025 and will carry his memory with us as we step into the future being someone who knew him all through elementary school and high school I can wholeheartedly say that he would want you all to take this moment to be thankful for your time and to always live life to the fullest let's never forget the mark he left and The Memories We have had with him here at Ganesha try teachers thank you for your guidance your patience and your unwavering belief in us your shaped us into the individuals we are today and we will carry the motivation lessons you've taught us for the rest of our lives thank you for being a second family and helping hand and people we can count on we had no 1 else to our families thank you for the love and support you've given us you are our rocks when things got tough and you celebrated every success with us we all couldn't have made it here without you and finally to my fellow graduate the class of 2025 thank you for being a part of this incredible experience we may be heading in different directions but the bond we share will always remain no matter where life takes us we will always be connected by those years we spent together by the memories we've created and by the shared experience since I have shaped who we are let's chase our dreams with everything we've got and let's never forget that we are capable of more than we know thank you according to the laws of the State of California and the regulations as established by the Pomona Unified School Board District Board of Education I hereby certify that the Ganesha High School class of 2025 has met all requirements and I present this class to you as candidates for graduation at this time I would like to welcome up assistant superintendent Mrs Sylvia San Martine thank you everyone good evening class of 2025 you are part I don't know if you know this but you are part of a record-breaking historical moment you represent the graduating the largest graduating class of seniors in US history and with that you carry an incredible Collective power the power to shape communities Industries and the world your potential is Limitless not just in numbers but in heart in voice and in action I stand here not only as an educator but also a parent of a 2025 graduate my youngest daughter is graduating this year and like many of you she often wrestles with self-doubt I think you mentioned it in 1 of your speeches she is her own toughest critic yet I sit in awe of her resilience her strength and her quiet termination if only she could see herself the way I see her and I say the same to all of you to each and every 1 of you if only you could see yourself the way I see you I wish I had my phone I'd take a picture to capture it I cry at every graduation so I'm holding back tears so give me a sec if you're sitting here today you've already proven that you have what it takes to you have what it takes to keep going if you made it here you can make it there wherever you're there may be I urge you to imagine yourself in places of power of purpose and impact last night at my daughter's senior Awards students nominated each other for those superlatives like most likely to and she got nominated as the student most likely to say I'm going to fail and then get a 100% And in that I saw the story of so many of you the doubts maybe some underestimation but also the surprise triumphs let this not just be a ceremony or a Rite of Passage let this moment leave you leave at this moment let us be the moment you leave yourself doubt behind don't ask why me ask why not me congratulations class of 2025 the world is waiting for you and needs you now more than ever before we're we're we're entrusting all of our future to you so as the design of Pomona Unified School District and on behalf of the faculty and your principal I accept and verify that the class of 2025 has met all of the requirements and it gives me great pleasure to present this class to you all as candidates for graduation at this time I'd like to welcome up Pomona Unified School Board member Mrs Tamara Gonzalez and Ganesha High School class of 2025 what a moment this is a day you've dreamed about work towards maybe even doubted once or twice and now it's finally here you've made it you should be proud we're all very proud of you today isn't just about the cap up and down or walking across this stage it's about everything that got you here the all-nighters the early alarms the group projects the setbacks The Comebacks and The Quiet Moments were you just kept showing up even when it was hard this journey wasn't always easy but you didn't just get through it you grew through it now just not just what you've learned but in who who you've become and now you're standing on the edge of something new ahead of you as a blank page your next chapter that might feel exciting or even a little scary probably both but here's the good news you get to write that chapter you get to decide what comes next so as you close as you step into this next era of your life keep these 3 things close be brave don't wait for everything to be perfect it won't be take the leap anyway trust yourself the world needs your voice your perspective and your boldness even when it feels risky lean into what matters to you be kind whether you're headed across the world or staying close to home kindness always matters be the 1 who checks in who really listens who shows up when it counts hold the door for lend a hand lead with compassion the smallest actions often make the biggest impact keep learning graduation doesn't mean you've got it all figured out it means you're ready to keep growing in new ways stay curious ask questions follow what excites you even if the path looks a little weird or uncertain some some of the best things in life come from unexpected turns class of 2025 you've got the vision the energy and the courage to shape what's next not just for yourself but for the world around you walk into your future with your head high your heart open and your Vibe locked in this isn't the end this is your glow up area now go out there and make it count congratulations on behalf of the Pomona Unified School District Board of
