National Honor Society

The goal of National Honor Society (NHS) at Ganesha High School is to uphold positive student characteristics.  Those characteristics are represented by four specific pillars: academics, leadership, service, and character.

Membership is both an honor and responsibility.  Students are invited to join during their sophomore or junior year if they maintain a GPA of 3.5 or above.  Once selected, members have the responsibility to continue to demonstrate qualities of service, leadership, and character.

Meetings take place every other Monday during lunch in room 92A.  Meetings will strictly begin 10 minutes after lunch has begun.  Refer to the Meeting Schedule for dates.  Attendance is a significant part of maintaining membership in NHS.  It is an indicator of a student’s eligibility for the New Member Induction Ceremony.

Senior members in good standing are eligible to apply in the National Honor Society Scholarship Program.

The Ganesha High School Chapter of the NHS commenced officially on December 11, 2008 when 40 members were inducted at our NHS Induction Ceremony held at Pomona College.
