Our Program/Services
Our goal is to ensure that all students graduate from Ganesha High School with the attitudes, knowledge, and skills necessary, in order to be successful in their post-secondary endeavors. In order to help with the development of these skills, we will provide on-going counseling activities and services to support and foster students academic, college/career, and social-emotional development.
School Counseling Program Services include:
- School-Wide Activities
- In-Class Instruction Lessons on topics in Academic, College/Career, and Social-Emotional
- Group Counseling (short-term 6-8 weeks) for students in need of additional support in order to be successful in high school
- Small/Large Group Workshops
- Individual Counseling is provided on an as needed basis to support students in the domains of academic, college/career, and social-emotional
- Individual Student Planning and Goal Setting
- Academic Progress Monitoring
- College and Career Planning
- Consultation and Collaboration with teachers, staff, administrators, and community partners/agencies
- Crisis Response
- Advocacy at Student Study Team (SST), 504, and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings
- Referrals to Academic, Social-Emotional, and Mental Health Resources
- Referral for Community Resources and Services
